All of our furniture is finished with a timber preservative oil called CD50.
CD50 is a non-toxic oil developed to penetrate deep into the timber and protect it from within. Not only does it enhance the grain and give the finished product a truly beautiful touch, it protects the timber from many rot forming bacteria, as well as mould and fungus. It also helps to control warping, cupping and splitting of timber (known technically as “dimensional stability”) and has a water repellent quality.
All of these characteristics makes CD50 a perfect product to finish an already great timber.
